The results for the FRCR Part 2A exam conducted in April 2026 have been officially released by the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR). Looking at the recently announced results, which were released on May 7, 2026, it is evident that our students have once again delivered an astonishing performance in the exam.

In this blog, we will discuss how to check your results and what to do next if you have passed the Part 2A exam or what to do if you have not.

How to Check FRCR Part 2A Results?

• Your results will be visible in the exam hub on the published exam results date.
• You will receive an automated email letting you know that results are available.
• Results on the hub will include: Pass mark, Score, Pass/Fail, and more detailed results will continue to be sent via email in the short term.
• Feedback will still be sent later for relevant exams, following the exam rules for feedback for that exam.
• On results day, Member – UK Trainee results will also be uploaded to risr/advance. Training Programme Directors will be notified that results are available and will be able to look up their trainees.

About FRCR Part 2A

The Final FRCR (Part A) Single Best Answer (SBA) paper examines candidates on all aspects of clinical radiology and the basic sciences of physics, anatomy and techniques, against the Speciality Training Curriculum for Clinical Radiology. The Final FRCR Exam’s assessment statement outlines the exam’s purpose, candidate training requirements, and the application of results. 

It is hoped that the statement will assist candidates and those involved in their training in understanding the scope of the FRCR exam and in relating it to other in-training assessments. The Final FRCR (Part A) exam comprises two papers, each containing 120 questions and covering a broad range of the core curriculum.
