Understand The Eligibility Criteria for FRCR Exam 2024
FRCR or Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists is a radiology examination conducted by the Royal College of Radiology (RCR), UK. Three steps are involved in this exam. Furthermore, candidates who emerge successful are inducted as fellows of the Royal College of Radiologists. The candidates are further entitled to use the designation FRCR after this. In addition, a successful FRCR candidate needs to register with the General Medical Council (GMC) specialty register for clinical radiology.

Eligibility Criteria For FRCR
FRCR Part 1 Anatomy & Physics
A candidate has to be a radiology resident at the time of application. This means that they should be undergoing clinical radiology training. However, there is no minimum training criteria for FRCR Part 1 eligibility.
RCR (Royal College of Radiologists) does not require you to submit any proof of this training during the application process for FRCR Part 1. Keep your passport and photo handy at the time of application.
If you are doing your radiology training in the United Kingdom, then you have to get the approval letter of the Training Programme Director before applying for the exam.

FRCR Part 2 A
Once you have passed both FRCR Part 1 Anatomy and Physics, you can apply for FRCR Part 2 A. However, you need to complete at least 24 months of radiology training to be eligible.

FRCR Part 2 B
After passing FRCR 2 A and completing at least 34 months of training, a candidate can apply for FRCR Part 2 B.
