The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has officially released the results for the FRCR Part 1 exam conducted in September 2024. The results were released just three weeks after the exam, which took place on September 12 and 13. An overview of the FRCR exam structure

FRCR is recognised worldwide as the gold standard qualification in clinical radiology. It is awarded after a rigorous three-part examination: FRCR Part 1, Part 2A, and Part 2B.

The FRCR Part 1 exam assesses your knowledge of the physical principles that underlie diagnostic medical imaging, as well as the anatomy necessary for performing and interpreting radiological studies. The FRCR Part 2A exam evaluates your understanding of imaging, congenital abnormalities, pathology, and radiological techniques. Finally, the FRCR Part 2B exam consists of three components: a reporting session, a rapid reporting session, and an oral exam. This final part tests your ability to interpret images, make accurate diagnoses, and communicate effectively.
