FRCR Part 2A Exam Overview:
FRCR Part 2A is the second examination in the process to secure the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR). It is an advanced stage of assessment testing the clinical knowledge in radiology and the problem-solving skills of the candidates.
Exam Structure:
FRCR Part 2 A is an MCQ-based written examination, consisting of two papers. Each paper comprises 120 SBA questions. Candidates are given three hours to answer each paper. Each SBA question comprises a stem (a question or statement) and five items (answers) labelled (a) to (e). Candidates are asked to decide which one of the five items represents the best answer to the question given in the stem.

The syllabus of FRCR Part 2A (Clinical Radiology) is divided into six modules:
- Cardiothoracic and Vascular radiology
- Musculoskeletal and Trauma radiology
- Gastro-intestinal radiology
- Genito-urinary, Adrenal, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Breast radiology
- Paediatric radiology
- Central Nervous and Head & Neck radiology
How to Book for FRCR Part 2 A:
- Go to the RCR website and sign in using your credentials.
- Verify your eligibility (passed Part 1, 24+ months training).
- Select FRCR Part 2A (Clinical Radiology) Exam from the available options.
- Select an examination centre from the list of available locations.
- Complete your payment securely through the portal for FRCR Part 2A.
- After your application is processed, you will receive an email with your exam details.
